Argent delivers information, big data analytics, interactive customer experiences

Argent Associates Inc. is delivering a digital technology ecosystem designed to add value to business operations, enhance customer/public experiences and provide career opportunities for a diverse workforce pipeline. Its technology platforms integrate communications networking, edge computing and content applications to deliver on the smart cities promise of a better quality of government services, citizen welfare and end-user experiences.

The supply-chain managed services company has evolved its offerings to meet the changing needs of its clients and communities. Its newest technologies have turned the complicated task of smart cities deployment into a customer/public-focused solution.

“We have learned to use technology not only to do more with less, but to generate solutions that lead to better business decisions and customer experiences,” said Betty Manetta, CEO and president of Argent. “We have leveraged our 23 years’ experience in supply-chain automation and analytics to automate order processing, enhance quality control systems, deploy infrastructure networks and develop new wireless technologies.”

Argent technologies include its proprietary Aire Edges™ multiaccess edge computing gateway and Smart Edges™ smart cities interactive experiential kiosk. Both offerings integrate cyber-secured wireless technologies with hybrid computing applications to deliver information, big data analytics and interactive customer experiences.

The Aire Edges™ gateway is also helping deliver energy consumption savings in buildings and cellular huts. By utilizing a combination of sensors with an artificial intelligence application, clients can track and realize reduced carbon dioxide or CO2 gas emissions. Aire Edges™ is helping clients to get to carbon neutral by 2025 and eventually be carbon negative.

In addition, the Argent supply-chain software developers team created Q-Portal, a real-time quality management system to meet all the International Organization for Standardization or ISO quality standards and reduce response time to process shortfalls. This product is being used internally and via subscription service for enterprises and business units seeking to manage their quality control on a real-time basis.

Argent’s legacy technology distribution arm has led to additional solutions and a strong workforce team of internally developed information technology- and radio frequency-certified network engineering and installation experts.

“We saw wireless and IT technologies melding and wanted to create a one-stop shop for our customers in the deployment of infrastructure networks,” Manetta said. “We believe strongly in providing positive impact in our communities and have taken a diverse group of young warehouse specialists and groomed them to be high-tech engineers and installers.”

“We wanted to build a very high-tech skilled group, while giving our young employees a career on which to build their future,” said Ray Moya, chief operating officer and chief technology officer at Argent. “Our engineers and technicians are installing in-building LTE/5G/Wi-Fi wireless networks. The work we’re doing is key as 5G [fifth-generation mobile network] continues to grow. In combining wireless knowledge and edge computing technology, we can deliver autonomous vehicle solutions and other technologies key in the evolution of the smart cities infrastructure and broadband deployment.”

A better future for all

Argent’s commitment to educating and growing its diverse workforce has resulted in technicians receiving college degrees, purchasing homes and vehicles and establishing future career paths. The company has hired, trained and educated over 35 technicians.

The company’s marketing professionals, technical team of engineers, technicians and developers are the minds behind the focus and ecosystem development that continues to evolve and change, Manetta said. She added that Argent’s team intends to be at the forefront of technology innovation and change. With the focus on broadband infrastructure expansion in the U.S., the company will be creating new experiences for customers.

In a nutshell, she said, “Argent’s mission is to create a better future for all!”
