The Billion Dollar Roundtable Inc. (BDR), a select corporate
advocacy organization that promotes supply-chain diversity excellence, is
inducting four new companies into its membership today at its annual best
practices summit.
The 2024 inductees are T-Mobile, Coca-Cola, Medtronic and
CBRE, raising the BDR’s membership roster to 43 corporations.
The new members are among 15 major U.S.-based corporations
to achieve BDR membership since 2022. As a requirement of membership, BDR
member companies commit annually to documented supply-chain spend of $1 billion
or more on a first-tier basis with diverse suppliers whose majority owners
identify as minorities, women, veterans, disabled and LGBTQ.
“Billion Dollar Roundtable member companies represent the
best of the best in corporate supplier diversity. These are companies that
understand that diverse supply chains are a business imperative that create
real economic benefits to the nation and globally. T-Mobile, Coca-Cola,
Medtronic and CBRE are leaders in their respective market segments, and we look
forward to the contributions that each will make in advancing BDR’s mission,”
said BDR Chair Shelley Stewart Jr.
The induction of new member companies is part of the BDR’s
annual best practices summit today and tomorrow at the corporate campuses of
members Meta Platforms and Google in Silicon Valley. BDR summits each year
engage corporations, thought leaders and entrepreneurs in business diversity
practices. This year’s summit program will celebrate the rich diversity of the
San Francisco Bay Area and showcase how innovation, powered by inclusion,
equals commercial and community impact at scale.
“Earning Billion Dollar Roundtable membership represents an
important milestone for our member companies in their supplier diversity
journey. Both our new and longstanding members are always excited for another
induction ceremony, and we look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of
T-Mobile, Coca-Cola, Medtronic and CBRE at this year’s summit,” said BDR CEO,
President and Co-Founder Sharon Patterson.
