Dear WBENC Network,
Recently, we came together in profound sorrow to mourn the sudden loss of our
beloved President & CEO, Pamela Prince-Eason. Pam was more than a
leader — she was a trailblazer, mentor, and tireless advocate for women-owned
businesses and entrepreneurs. Her vision, dedication, and leadership elevated
WBENC [Women's Business Enterprise National Council] to new heights and strengthened the broader ecosystem of women-led
enterprises. Her legacy continues to guide and inspire us.
As we honor Pam’s extraordinary contributions, the WBENC Executive Committee
has appointed Nedra Dickson as Interim President & CEO. Nedra
has been serving as the WBENC Board Chair since January 2023, working closely
with Pam and WBENC leadership throughout that time. She also recently retired
from her longtime leadership role with Accenture and has been involved with
WBENC and our partner organizations for many years.
Nedra brings a wealth of experience, insight, and purpose-driven leadership
that will not only preserve Pam’s vision but also prepare WBENC to reach even
greater impact in the years ahead.
Looking Forward Together
- Continuity
and Confidence: All WBENC programs, certifications, and events
remain on schedule, ensuring that our members, partners, and entrepreneurs
continue to thrive without disruption.
- Steadfast
Leadership: Working alongside WBENC COO Jill Sasso and the entire
WBENC team, Nedra will advance our priorities and represent WBENC with the
insight, integrity, and vision that our community has come to expect.
- Commitment
to Growth and Innovation: Our mission—to empower entrepreneurs
and small businesses to drive inclusive economic growth—remains stronger
than ever, fueled by bold ideas and opportunities for impact.
The search for our next permanent CEO will begin shortly,
and we will keep you informed throughout the process.
As we move forward, let us celebrate Pam’s enduring legacy by leaning into the
future with courage and unity. Together, with your guidance and partnership,
WBENC will continue to inspire, innovate, and elevate business leaders across
the nation and around the world.
Any questions can be sent to [email protected].
With gratitude, resilience, and a shared commitment to growth,
Cheryl A. Harris
