On October 22, 2021, Jacqueline Neal resigned from her
position as president and CEO of the Ohio Minority Supplier Development
Council, effective immediately. The OMSDC board of directors thanks
Jacqui for her contributions to this organization and recognizes her
passion for minority supplier development and the supplier diversity
efforts of our corporate members.
The OMSDC board is committed to ensuring that there will be
minimal effect on the operations of the Council. To that effect, we
have asked George Simms to step in as the interim president of OMSDC,
effective immediately.
Since 2019, Simms has served as the organization’s fractional chief
operating officer, bringing a high level of operational excellence and
efficiency to the role. He spent more than 28 years at The Procter
& Gamble Co. in a variety of roles, where he demonstrated leadership,
procurement and supply chain excellence, supplier management and
organizational accountability. We are confident that Simms will bring
excellent leadership and stability to the Council.
Be assured that OMSDC’s primary focus is to provide excellence
service for our certified MBEs and corporate members. We do not
anticipate any interruption to our ability to meet your needs or to answer
your questions. If there is something we can do to serve you better,
please let our office know. Additionally, please feel free to
direct any questions regarding this announcement to [email protected].
At this time, OMSDC is excitedly preparing for the 2021 OMSDC
Gala, held virtually on November 19th. This year’s theme
is Celebrate Success. If you’ve not registered yet, we
strongly encourage you to visit www.ohiomsdc.org to
learn more about this annual event and to register.
