MBDA Federal Procurement Center partners with Cultivate Advisors to grow and scale MBEs

DALLAS—KDM & Associates, operator of the nation's only Minority Business Development Agency Federal Procurement Center (MBDA FPC), announced a strategic partnership with Cultivate Advisors, one of North America's largest small business advising firms. With its one-on-one coaching, core business skill development, and tailored solutions, Cultivate will work closely with MBDA FPC to enhance its What Works program to drive more federal government contracts to Minority Owned Business Enterprises (MBEs).

To kick off the alliance, MBDA FPC clients are invited to take advantage of Cultivate’s new Business Value & Health Assessment which evaluates six critical areas of a business, from financials to productivity, identifying the 20 most vital value drivers that make up its current worth, while also revealing the opportunities and gaps impacting valuation. Once completed, users receive a free comprehensive 25-page report analyzing the findings and a two-hour consultation with an advisor from Cultivate to discuss the results and acceleration strategies.

"We’re excited about our partnership with Cultivate Advisors and know it will have a profound impact on the MBDA FPC community,” said Keith Moore, Lead Operator of the MBDA FPC and CEO of KDM & Associates. “Cultivate’s experience and expertise helping thousands of small businesses grow promises to significantly enhance the capacity, scalability, and capital readiness of our MBEs.”

Cultivate will also work with MBDA FPC clients on their businesses to:

  • Guide, prepare, and secure government contracts while ensuring the successful execution of their growth strategies.

  • Streamline talent management and optimize recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes, for efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Enhance capital readiness by building solid financial foundations to attract funding, seize opportunities, weather downturns, and fuel expansions.

  • Develop leadership by empowering management with the skills and insights to navigate growth effectively.

  • Improve revenue and profitability by identifying opportunities to reduce costs and maximize existing revenue streams.

  • Create detailed, one-of-a-kind, long-term roadmaps with actionable recommendations and achievable goals to bring incremental change and sustainable growth.

Additionally, MBDA FPC clients can tap into Cultivate's large community of entrepreneurs working through similar hurdles in their businesses, along with its library of exclusive resources, including training and leadership courses, financial forecasting tools, and soft-skill catalog.

"We can't wait to start working with the MBDA FPC," said Sarah Jansen, Director of Partnerships at Cultivate Advisors. "Nothing is more satisfying for us than getting into the nuts and bolts of a business with an owner, identifying a few key areas in need of improvement, and then empowering them with a clear roadmap to reach their next level of success."
