NWMSDC awards recognize excellence in performance

Seattle, WA — The Northwest Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council (NWMMSDC) awards corporate and individual supplier diversity leaders annually. The NWMMSDC recently celebrated the achievements in advocating, promoting and contracting with minority business enterprises for 2022. These business professionals drive the NWMMSDC’s mission to “foster an environment that develops equitable opportunities, creating economic value” year over year.

The Advocacy Awards were presented to individuals who displayed an unwavering commitment to the development of minority business enterprises.

2022 Advocacy Awards recipients:

John A. Gilmore Award: Ben Zhang, Greater Pacific Industries
Robert L. Ryan Award: Kate Kleyman, McKinstry
Phyllis Gutierrez Kenney Award: Brenda Nnambi, Sound Transit

Leadership Awards were presented to minority business enterprises that demonstrated excellence in performance and delivered exceptional value to their customers in the private and public sectors.

2022 Supplier Leadership Award recipients:

Class 1 Supplier of the Year | Annual Revenues up to $1 million: OpConnect, Inc.
Class 2 Supplier of the Year | Annual Revenues between $1 million – $10 million: Pivotal Consulting, LLC
Class 3 Supplier of the Year | Annual Revenues between $10 million – $50 million: Greater Pacific Industries
Class 4 Supplier of the Year | Annual Revenues above $50 million: Zones, LLC

Leadership Awards were also presented to the private sector corporations that commit and live the practice of minority business enterprise inclusion.

2022 Corporate Leadership Award recipients:

Regional Corporation of the Year: McKinstry
National Corporation of the Year: Starbucks Coffee Co.
