We are excited to announce that the National Minority
Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and the independent regional affiliates
have come to terms on an agreement that will shape our collaborative efforts
moving forward.
This balanced agreement reflects our shared commitment to
strengthening the network and expanding opportunities for entrepreneurs and
corporate members. Importantly, we acknowledge that this agreement is a
foundation, and we will continue to refine it together as we restore and
reinforce a collaborative working relationship across the entire network.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the NMSDC National Board,
the affiliate boards, and the Affiliate Negotiating Committee for their
diligent engagement, thoughtful deliberation, and commitment throughout this
process.
“This agreement underscores our dedication to emphasizing
the health of our network and the interests of our stakeholders,” said Kala
Gibson, National Board Chair. “We now have a framework that will allow us to
rebuild our network and enable us to focus on various issues impacting our
entrepreneurs and corporate members, so our important work of promoting
inclusive business growth, which is vital to the nation’s economy and the
well-being of all communities, can continue.”
Speaking on behalf of the regional affiliates, Patricia
Crenshaw, Chair of the Affiliate Presidents, added, “This resolution
demonstrates what is possible when we listen to one another, prioritize
transparency, and work in good faith.”
Together, the NMSDC national office and NMSDC affiliate
network remain rooted in the shared mission to advance economic equity, foster
meaningful connections and mutually beneficial commerce between entrepreneurs
and corporations, and strengthen our impact on all communities.
Thank you to our corporate members, business owners, and
stakeholders for your patience, trust, and continued partnership as we move
forward, united in purpose.
